Ressi EPO Shield – Urban Mastic is a high-performance, two-component epoxy-based coating
system designed for C3 medium corrosivity environments in accordance with
ISO 12944. It provides a durable, UV-stable, and weather-resistant finish with excellent
protection against humidity, salt-laden air, and mild chemical exposure.
The coating forms a tough, glossy, and color-retentive film that resists chalking and fading even
under prolonged outdoor exposure. It ensures long-term aesthetic and protective performance for
industrial and architectural applications.

SURFACE PREPARATION
- All surfaces must be clean, dry, and free from oil, grease, rust, mill scale, and contaminants.
- For optimal results, abrasive blast cleaning to Sa 2½ (ISO 8501-1) is recommended.
- Where blasting is not possible, mechanical cleaning to St 3 may be used.
- Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and dust-free prior to application.
- For best results, apply over compatible epoxy primer.
MIXING
Ressi EPO Shield – Urban Mastic is supplied in pre-measured two-component kits.
- Add the entire contents of Hardener (Part B) into Base (Part A).
- Mix thoroughly using a low-speed mechanical mixer (300–400 rpm).
- Avoid entrapping air during mixing.
APPLICATION
- Apply by airless spray, conventional spray, brush, or roller.
- Ensure uniform film thickness and complete coverage.
- Recommended DFT: 80–100 microns per coat
- Apply subsequent coats once the previous coat is dry to touch.
COVERAGE
Approximately 80–90 sq. ft. per kg per coat @ 80–100 microns.
Coverage may vary depending on surface profile and application conditions.
LIMITATIONS
- When temperatures exceed 35°C, working times will be reduced.
- Correct conditioning is essential during cold weather.
- Application should be stopped if temperature falls below 10°C.
