Mildew and Algae
Mold, mildew, and fungus can growth in damp environment, and release spores and other allergens that are harmful to health. This is particularly true of many stones and cementitious surfaces when there is regular contact with moisture.
Ressichem offers different kind of water repellents and treatments for the protection of the surfaces from mold and mildew growth.
Recommended Solutions:
Silblock for exterior surfaces: Silblock is a solvent free siloxane / alkoxysilane emulsion in water. The product is suitable as impregnating agent for masonry, including highly alkaline surfaces. It demonstrates good penetration into a variety of absorbent mineral building materials. It is easily applied over the substrate by brush, roller, spray for floe coat.
Silmix and Ressi SBR 5850: Silmix is a water-based emulsion of alkoxy / siloxane used for water resistance treatment of plaster, screed, and mortar. Silmix provides a long-term waterproofing solution for a variety of mortars. Ressi SBR 5850 is a ready for use aqueous dispersion of styrene-butadiene co-polymer which is highly compatible with cementitious materials. It results in the mortar being more flexible hence minimizing the mortar cracks at the time of application and long-term usage as well. It is recommended to use 1 Ltr of Silmix and Ressi SBR 5850 with every 50 KG bag of cement used in making the mortar for plaster, masonry, or screeding. This will increase the strength of the mortar and make it water-resistant and resistant to unnecessary growth of mildew and algae.
