Ressi EPO Iron Coat
A solvent-loaded, low-viscosity, UV-stable metal protective coating specifically designed for application over metal surfaces. It is formulated with diluted Bisphenol A-based resins and polyamide-based hardeners, ensuring durability, abrasion resistance, and protection against mild acid exposure. SURFACE PREPARATION
Ensure the metal surface is clean, dry, and free from grease, oil, rust, or old coatings. Use abrasive blasting or mechanical cleaning to create a suitable surface profile. Wipe down with a solvent cleaner to remove dust and residues. Before full application, perform a small test patch with Ressi EPO Iron Primer to confirm adhesion compatibility.
MIXING
Stir Part A (Resin) thoroughly before adding Part B (Hardener) in the correct ratio (as per packaging or technical table). Mix mechanically at low speed (300–500 RPM) for 3–5 minutes until uniform. Allow the mixture to rest for 5 minutes to release air bubbles before applying.
APPLICATION
Apply with a brush, roller, compressed air, or airless spray. Airless spray is ideal for achieving thicker, uniform coats. For smaller areas or touch-ups, use brushes or rollers. Avoid over-brushing and use short nap rollers for best results. Maintain moderate spray pressure for smooth atomization.
LIMITATIONS
At higher temperatures, pot life will be reduced. In cold climates (<5°C), Ressi EPO Iron Coat containers should be placed in a hot water bath before mixing.
COVERAGE
Approx. 80 SFT per coat at 100 micron thickness. Coverage may vary depending on substrate texture, porosity, and site conditions. Test a small area before full application.
SHELF LIFE
12 months from the date of manufacture when stored in a dry, sheltered environment in unopened containers. Extreme temperature or humidity may reduce shelf life.
HEALTH & SAFETY
Wear gloves, goggles, and protective masks. Dispose of containers as per local regulations. Avoid open flames when using solvent-based materials. Refer to the product MSDS for detailed safety guidelines.
