AREA OF APPLICATION
Tough Guard 12000 E is an ideal putty and crack filler for the levelling and repair of concrete floors, Floor Joint Repairs, Levelling rough surfaces prior to the application of epoxy flooring and general crack repairs of cementitious floorings.
SURFACE PREPARATION
All loose particles and oil shall be cleaned off the surface prior to the application. Minor hair line cracks need to be opened to a minimum width of 4mm width and depth and Repaired accordingly. Tough Guard 12,000 E can also be used as a crack filler and a wall and floor filling putty as well depending on the site requirement.
APPLICATION
Make sure the container used for the mixing of Tough Guard 12,000 E is clean and uncontaminated. Mix Mart A and B using a slow speed paddle mixer thoroughly until a homogenous liquid is achieved. Slowly add the powder of Part C on top of the mixed liquid. Since Tough Guard 12,000 E is a water-based Epoxy Filling material, Additional Water can be added over the mixed paste to achieve the right desired consistency of the material.
The mixed paste can either be poured over the surface of the crack (if applying on the floor) or a viscous mix can be applied using a spatula blade or trowel over the surface of the wall. The filler ratio of the material can also be adjusted to make it either more flowable or a mortar like consistency. It is to be ensured that the ratio of Resin and Hardener is not disturbed. One part Resin is to be mixed with 0.7 parts of hardener.
