Ressi EPO Roll Coat
A Solvent Free Epoxy Coating material designed to be applied at a thickness between 100 microns to 1500 microns in a single coat over concrete, cementitious substrates and steel. It is suitable for both wall and floor applications, Made from Bisphenol A Based Resins and selected polyamide based hardeners. Ressi EPO Roll coat is also compatible with a variety of other substrates such as wood, metal, fiberglass and selected plastics. Can be applied to steel and concrete internal tank surfaces to provide low to moderate corrosion resistance, protection against oils, chemical wastewater, etc. it can also be used as waterproofing for tanks and reservoirs containing water intended for human consumption. Other areas of application include silos, wastewater treatment plants, canning and bottling units, food processing plants, etc.

Solvent Free Epoxy Coating
Ressi EPO Roll Coat is a solvent-free epoxy coating material designed to be applied at thicknesses between 100 microns and 1500 microns in a single coat over concrete, cementitious substrates, and steel. It is suitable for both wall and floor applications. Made from Bisphenol-A-based resins and selected polyamide hardeners, Ressi EPO Roll Coat is compatible with various substrates such as wood, metal, fiberglass, and selected plastics. It provides moderate corrosion resistance, protection against oils, and chemical wastewater. It can also be used as waterproofing for tanks and reservoirs containing potable water. Other applications include silos, wastewater treatment plants, canning and bottling units, and food processing facilities.
ADVANTAGES
- Solvent-free, high-build, and non-toxic formulation.
- Does not support algae or fungal growth.
- Suitable for use in confined areas and potable water tank applications.
- Excellent resistance to seawater and solvents.
- Applicable on both old and new concrete surfaces.

SURFACE PREPARATION
Steel: The base metal should be roughened and preferably shot-blasted with grit. Where shot blasting is not possible, pre-treatment may be carried out with tap hammers, rotary wire brushes, or by flame scaling. Cleaning with solvent or a strong detergent is advisable to ensure the surface is free from grease, oil, paint, and other contaminants. Ressi EPO Roll Coat must be applied before oxidation of steel occurs. Surface defects revealed after cleaning should be repaired with compatible repair mortar from the Ressichem Patch Series.
Concrete/Cementitious Surfaces: Ensure the surface is dry, clean, and free from mold, oil, grease, or laitance. Prepare mechanically to create an open-pore texture. Cracks and potholes should be repaired with a suitable epoxy-based filler. Uneven concrete should be levelled with Ressichem repair materials. All internal corners should be coved and sharp edges rounded. New concrete should be at least 28 days old with moisture content below 5%.
MIXING
Ressi EPO Roll Coat is supplied in pre-measured packs. Stir base and hardener separately before mixing. Transfer the base into a mixing container, mix for one minute, then add the hardener. Mix using a slow-speed drill (300–500 rpm) for two minutes to achieve a uniform blend. Scrape container sides and bottom, then mix for another minute.
APPLICATION
Apply the mixed material using a suitable squeegee, stiff nylon brush, or roller. Work it into the surface to ensure complete absorption. Finish with a medium-to-long nap roller. Apply at least two coats to achieve the desired dry film thickness. Inspect for pinholes or cavities and fill using Ressi EPO Crack Fill or Patch Epoxy 111 Repair Mortar. The second coat should be applied perpendicular to the first coat, preferably in a different color. For high-pressure tank areas, apply three coats reinforced with fiberglass mesh (consult Ressichem for details).
LIMITATIONS
At higher temperatures, pot life will be reduced. For cold conditions (<5°C), keep containers in a hot water bath before use.

COVERAGE
Approximately 25–30 SFT per coat @ 300-micron thickness. Actual coverage may vary based on substrate porosity, texture, and application conditions. Apply a small test area to estimate material coverage.
SHELF LIFE
