Ressi EPO Prime – Interior
Ressi EPO Prime – Interior is a two-component, high-quality anticorrosive epoxy primer formulated
for C1 very low corrosivity environments, as defined in ISO 12944. It provides reliable protection for
interior steel structures and equipment exposed to dry indoor conditions, such as offices, warehous
es, and clean manufacturing areas.
Ressi EPO Prime – Interior is a two-component, high-quality anticorrosive epoxy primer
formulated for C1 very low corrosivity environments as defined in ISO 12944. It provides reliable
protection for interior steel structures and equipment exposed to dry indoor conditions such as
offices, warehouses, and clean manufacturing areas.
The primer offers excellent adhesion, smooth film formation, and moisture resistance, making it
ideal as a primer or holding coat under epoxy or polyurethane topcoats. Its balanced pigment-to-binder
ratio ensures strong barrier protection against mild atmospheric exposure while maintaining easy
workability and a durable finish.
TYPICAL APPLICATION
- Interior steel structures and fabricated components
- Storage racks, machinery, and equipment in dry areas
- Electrical cabinets, ducts, and enclosures
- Manufacturing and assembly facilities
- Warehouses and logistics centers
- General OEM and maintenance applications
ADVANTAGES
- Designed for C1 very low corrosivity environments (ISO 12944 compliant)
- Provides excellent adhesion and smooth surface profile
- Reliable protection in indoor, dry, and controlled environments
- Contains anticorrosive pigments for extended service life
- Compatible with epoxy and polyurethane topcoats
- Cures to a hard, durable, and easily overcoatable film
- Simple application by brush, roller, or spray
SURFACE PREPARATION
All surfaces must be clean, dry, and free from oil, grease, rust, and other contaminants.
Abrasive blast cleaning to Sa 2 (ISO 8501-1) is recommended for optimal adhesion.
For light-duty applications, mechanical cleaning to St 2 or St 3 may be acceptable.
Ensure the surface is free from dust, moisture, and contaminants prior to coating.
MIXING
Ressi EPO Prime – Interior is supplied as a two-component system (Base and Hardener).
- Add the entire contents of Part B (Hardener) into Part A (Base)
- Mix thoroughly using a slow-speed mechanical stirrer (300–400 rpm) until homogeneous
- Avoid entraining air during mixing
APPLICATION
Apply the mixed material by airless spray, conventional spray, brush, or roller.
Ensure uniform film thickness and complete coverage.
Recommended Dry Film Thickness (DFT): 60–70 microns per coat.
Apply additional coats only after the previous layer is dry to touch and within the
recommended overcoating window.
COVERAGE
Approximately 70–80 sq. ft. per kg per coat at 80–100 microns.
Theoretical coverage values are provided for reference only; actual material consumption
may vary depending on surface profile, porosity, and application conditions.
LIMITATIONS
When temperatures exceed 35°C, working times will be reduced significantly.
During application in cold weather, correct conditioning is essential.
Application should be halted if ambient or substrate temperature is likely to fall below 10°C.
SHELF LIFE
12 months from the date of manufacture when stored under warehouse conditions in original,
unopened packaging. Extreme temperature or humidity may reduce shelf life.
PACKAGING
Ressi EPO Prime – Interior is available in the following pack sizes:
- 1 kg (Part A: 750 g, Part B: 250 g)
- 5 kg (Part A: 3.75 kg, Part B: 1.25 kg)
- 20 kg (Part A: 15 kg, Part B: 5 kg)
HEALTH AND SAFETY
The packed material is regarded as non-hazardous for transportation.
Once opened, extreme temperatures may cause the material to be flammable.
Do not reuse containers and dispose of packaging according to local regulations.
Gloves and suitable masks should be worn during application.
