Ressi EPO Mid Coat S – CR
A chemical resistant epoxy mid coat used to build up thickness of chemical resistant epoxy flooring systems. Based on the standard sized Ressichem Aggregate used to build up thicknesses of epoxy systems from a minimum of 2mm up to 5mm. A chemical resistant grade made from specially formulated bisphenol-A Based Resins and Specially formulated Modified chemical resistant cycloaliphatic amine which is free from Nonyl phenol. A solvent free formulated product.
Ressi EPO Mid Coat S – CR
Chemical Resistant Standard Aggregate-Based Mid Coat
Ressi EPO Mid Coat S – CR is a chemical resistant epoxy mid coat used to build up thickness of chemical resistant epoxy flooring systems. It is based on standard-sized Ressichem Aggregate used to build up thicknesses of epoxy systems from a minimum of 2mm up to 5mm. It is made from specially formulated bisphenol-A based resins and modified chemical resistant cycloaliphatic amine, free from Nonyl phenol. The product is solvent-free and suitable for a variety of substrates such as wood, metal, fiberglass, and selected plastics.
ADVANTAGES
- Exceptional Chemical Resistance: Formulated with bisphenol-A based resins and modified aliphatic amine, ensuring high resistance to a wide range of chemicals.
- Customizable Thickness: Facilitates thickness build-up from 2mm to 5mm using standard-sized Ressichem aggregates.
- Solvent-Free Composition: Ensures low VOC emissions, making it an environmentally friendly and safer option for confined spaces.
- Enhanced Durability: Offers robust mechanical strength and long-lasting performance under harsh industrial conditions.
- Nonyl Phenol-Free: Free from harmful additives like Nonyl Phenol.
- Seamless Application: Easy-to-apply formulation with consistent and smooth results.
- Compatibility: Designed to integrate seamlessly with other epoxy flooring components.

SURFACE PREPARATION
Surfaces should be free from grease, oil, dust, laitance, and loose concrete. Use appropriate surface preparation equipment such as a shot blaster, scarifier, or grinder to obtain a sound surface. Substrates with traces of oil must be degreased before surface preparation. Repair cracks and potholes with Ressi EPO Crack Fill. Ensure new concrete floors are at least 28 days old and moisture is below 4%.
PRIMING
Prime surfaces using Ressi EPO Primer or another suitable primer recommended by Ressichem. Apply with a stiff brush or roller and allow it to become tacky (10–20 mins). If the primer dries completely, reapply another coat before proceeding.
MIXING
Stir base and hardener separately. Add filler to the base/hardener mixture and stir until homogeneous using a high-speed drill (400–600 rpm). Mix for 3–7 minutes until uniform.
APPLICATION
Apply Ressi EPO Mid Coat S – CR while the primer is still tacky. Spread with a notched trowel (2–5mm thick) and level with a spiked roller.
LIMITATIONS
At higher temperatures, pot life is reduced. Below 10°C, pre-warm materials in a hot water bath. Apply between 15°C and 35°C.
