Ressi EPO Mid Coat F - GP
A general-purpose high strength and high impact resistant mid coat epoxy. This Epoxy system is highly suitable to build up epoxy thickness of flooring systems where a low-cost system is required. This solvent free epoxy system is based on a modified bisphenol A Based Epoxy system and a Phenelkamine based hardener. Comprises of special fine aggregates designed to achieve a Epoxy mid coat to a thickness between 500 microns and 2mm.
Ressi EPO Mid Coat F – GP is a general-purpose, high-strength, and high-impact-resistant mid coat epoxy. This epoxy system is suitable for building up epoxy thickness in flooring systems where a low-cost system is required. This solvent-free epoxy system is based on modified bisphenol-A epoxy and phenalkamine hardener. Ressi EPO Mid Coat F – GP comprises special fine aggregates designed to achieve a mid-coat thickness between 500 microns and 2mm. It is also suitable for materials such as metal, wood, ceramic, concrete, textile, glass, and leather.

- Automotive Workshops and Garages: Resistant to oils, fuels, and chemicals typically found in automotive environments.
- Food and Beverage Facilities: Suitable for hygienic, durable, and seamless flooring areas.
- Chemical Processing Units: Performs well in areas exposed to mild chemical spills and corrosive agents.
- Pharmaceutical Plants: Ensures a smooth, non-dusting surface that minimizes contamination risk.
- Power Plants and Utility Areas: Provides resistance against thermal and mechanical stress.
- Public Spaces and Parking Garages: Offers long-lasting durability against pedestrian and vehicular traffic.
- Cold Storage Areas: Performs well under temperature variations and low ambient conditions.
- Educational and Commercial Buildings: Provides easy-to-maintain, long-lasting surfaces.
SURFACE PREPARATION
Surfaces should be free from grease, oil, dust, laitance, and loose concrete, with minimal moisture content. Appropriate surface preparation tools such as shot blasters, scarifiers, or grinders must be used to achieve a sound substrate. Substrates showing oil traces must be degreased before grit blasting. Repair cracks, pinholes, or potholes with Ressi EPO Crack Fill. Uneven concrete should be levelled. New concrete floors should be at least 28 days old with moisture not exceeding 4%. Expansion, control, and isolation joints should be carried through and filled with suitable joint treatment. Prime the surface with an appropriate epoxy primer from the Ressichem range.
PRIMING
Prime prepared surfaces using Ressi EPO Primer or another suitable primer recommended by Ressichem. Apply with a stiff brush or roller and allow to become tacky (10–20 minutes) before applying Ressi EPO Mid Coat F – GP. If the primer dries, reapply and allow it to reach a tacky state before proceeding.
MIXING
Stir the base and hardener components separately. Add the filler component into the base/hardener mix and stir until homogeneous. A high-speed drill (400–600 rpm) can be used for proper blending. Mix all materials for at least 3 to 7 minutes at low rpm until a uniform mixture is achieved.
APPLICATION
Apply Ressi EPO Mid Coat F – GP while the primer is still tacky. Spread evenly using a notched trowel to a thickness between 500 microns and 2mm. Level the material using appropriate tools, and use a spiked roller to remove air bubbles and ensure a uniform surface.
LIMITATION
At higher temperatures, pot life will be reduced. For low-temperature conditions (below 10°C), warm materials in a hot water bath. The recommended application temperature range is between 15°C and 35°C.
