- Food and Beverage Facilities: Hygienic, easy to clean, and resistant to cleaning agents.
- Chemical Processing Units: Withstands exposure to a range of industrial chemicals.
- Pharmaceutical Plants: Provides seamless, smooth, and non-dusting surfaces.
- Power Plants and Utility Areas: Offers mechanical and thermal resistance.
- Public Spaces and Parking Garages: Durable under vehicular and pedestrian traffic.
- Cold Storage Areas: Performs effectively under fluctuating temperatures.
- Educational and Commercial Buildings: Provides long-lasting and easy-to-maintain surfaces.
SURFACE PREPARATION
Surfaces should be free from oil, grease, dust, loose concrete, and contaminants. Mechanical preparation such as shot blasting, scarifying, or grinding is recommended to achieve a sound surface. Oily substrates should be degreased with suitable solvents. Repair cracks and holes with Ressi EPO Crack Fill. New concrete should be at least 28 days old and contain less than 4% moisture. All joints must be carried through and sealed appropriately. The prepared surface must be primed using a suitable Ressi EPO Primer from the Ressichem range.
PRIMING
Apply Ressi EPO Primer or an equivalent primer recommended by Ressichem using a brush or roller. Allow it to become tacky (10–20 minutes) before applying Ressi EPO Mid Coat F – CR. If the primer dries completely, apply a fresh coat and allow it to become tacky before application.
MIXING
Ressi EPO Mid Coat F – CR is a three-component system: Part A (Base), Part B (Hardener), and Part C (Filler). Mix each component separately before combining. Add Part B to Part A and mix for 2–3 minutes. Gradually add Part C while mixing at a low speed (400–600 rpm) until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. Avoid air entrapment. Mix for a total of 5–7 minutes.
APPLICATION
Apply the mixed material using trowels, rollers, or spray equipment while the primer is still tacky. Maintain a uniform coating thickness between 500 microns and 2mm. For multilayer applications, allow each layer to cure and lightly abrade the surface before applying the next coat.
LIMITATION
Pot life decreases at higher temperatures. For temperatures below 10°C, pre-warm the components in a hot water bath. The recommended application temperature is between 15°C and 35°C.
