Silblock 

Silblock is a solvent-free siloxane/alkoxysilane emulsion in water. The product is suitable as an impregnating agent for masonry, including highly alkaline surfaces. It demonstrates good penetration into a variety of absorbent mineral building materials.

INSTRUCTION FOR Silblock USES 

Silblock is ready to use, no further dilution is required. Apply with brush roller or spray.

APPLICATION 

Standard processes for the water-repellent treatment of masonry can be used. These include spraying, dipping, and the flow coating. Before application on large surfaces, trials should be conducted to determine the optimum water repellency; Silblock should not be applied at the temperature below +5°C. It is recommended to apply 2 coats of Silblock (wet on wet) for proper repellency properties.

AREAS OF  APPLICATION 

Silblock is highly suitable for the following substrates:

• Cement plaster surfaces
• Pigmented plaster surfaces
• Fair Face Concrete
• Mineral based surfaces
• Natural stones on elevation.

Silblock is also an ideal water-repellent sealer for areas near the sea front where high winds consisting of high salt contents prevail.

COMPATIBILITY

Contact with solvent-borne impregnating agents (including residual material in the application equipment) must be avoided.

SHELF LIFE

12 months from date of manufacture when stored under warehouse conditions in original un-opened packing. Extreme temperature / humidity may reduce shelf life.

HEALTH AND SAFETY

Silblock is regarded as non-hazardous for transportation. Do not reuse bags or containers and dispose them off as per local rules and regulations. Gloves and suitable masks can be worn during application. Please refer to the MSDS of the product for further health and safety information.
