Ressi Reactive Stains are a specially formulated blend of hydrochloric acids and metallic salts. The acid opens the capillaries of the concrete, allowing the metallic salts to react with the free lime deposits and therefore staining the hydrated lime imbedded in the concrete.

    USES

    Ressi Reactive Stains are durable enough for commercial applications like restaurants, showrooms and retail spaces. Ressi Reactive Stains can be used on new or old concrete once fully cured. The colors produced in each area will be unique in character. Multicolored intensities that become a permanent part of the concrete.

    COLORS

    Ressi Reactive Stains are available in variety standard colors. (Diluting with water will alter the color, excessive dilution will weaken the penetration of the product. Please refer to our color shade card for Ressi Reactive Stains for further details.

    PACKAGING

    Ressi Reactive Stains are available in 1 liter 5 liters, 10 liters, 15 liters and 25-liter Containers.

    COVERAGE

    Ressi Reactive Stains will cover an average 100 SFT per 01 liter in a single coat application. (This is affected by the porosity of the concrete).

    PHYSICAL PROPERTIES

    Reactive stains are viscous water and acid based therefore this material is corrosive.

    LIMITATION

    Ressi Reactive Stains only works when it has direct contact with the concrete. Make sure there are no sealers, waxes or other contaminants on the concrete surface. The lighter green and blue colors will darken and turn black when they are exposed to excess moisture. We strongly recommend using the greens and blue on interior projects after a moisture test on site has been completed. Reactive stains have adverse reactions when used on concrete that was mixed with slag as a cement substitute. Reactive stains will still work on slag concrete, but the color will be unpredictable, so always try a test area.

    STORAGE

    Ressi Reactive Stains should be kept in a safe dry place and the seal should not be broken until use. Shelf life is approximately 12months.

    CAUTION /CORROSIVE

    Keep put of the reach of children. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. When working with any powdered products that become airborne all personnel should wear proper respirators, gloves and eye protection.

    MAINTENANCE

    Ressi Reactive Stains should be sealed with one of Ressichem specially formulated sealers. The sealed surface should be periodically inspected for areas that need to have a re-application of sealer for continuous protection. If the project is cleaned on a regular basis, re- application of sealers can be several years apart.

    RECOMMENDATIONS

    Ressichem would suggest that a representative job site sample should be made for approval before any work takes place. There are many variables that can influence the final Color, weather, cements type, admixtures, and finishing techniques. Color charts are a guideline and will be different from the final appearance of the finished project.
